OUR MISSION AT TWT

TRUE-WAY TRACTS is a Christian apologetics ministry that began in l996 by Mrs. Tyner. This ministry offers a series of individual apologetics briefs and tracts (pamphlets) to be used for pre-evangelism or evangelism. Believers can use them as "witnessing tools" or as "equipping tools" to help them share and defend the faith. Each brief or tract is designed to answer a popular question that challenges Christianity and its essential doctrines. Each one presents a clear and logical defense for the truth of Christianity, highlighting external and internal evidences as well as biblical truths. The mission of this ministry is to further the Kingdom of God and to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ!

Importance of Apologetics: In today’s pluralistic world, it is vitally important for Christians to explain whom the biblical Jesus is and why biblical Christianity is true. In 1 Pet. 3:15, Christians are exhorted to defend the faith: "Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and respect."

The Ministry’s Beginning:  The first True-Way Tract, written in l996, was entitled: "What Set’s Christianity Apart from Religions and Religious Philosophies?" It was a response to a disturbing newspaper article that promoted all religions and community spiritual alliances. Such notion contradicts Scripture (John 14:6; Matt. 7:13-14). Carolyn Thomas presented the article and the idea to Mrs. Tyner. At the encourage-ment of Carl Westerlund at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, Mrs. Tyner wrote additional apologetics briefs and tracts, which eventually formed a series. Endorsements: Kay Arthur of Precept Ministries International wrote endorsements for the original three True-Way Tracts. Beginning in mid-l996, Pastors Chuck Smith and Pastor Romaine at Calvary Chapel approved the True-Way Tracts for distribution through the Chapel Bookstore. It was at the suggestion of Pastor Chuck in l997, that Mrs. Tyner began praying the Jabez prayer – that God would "enlarge the territory" of this ministry.

Distribution: True-Way Tracts are currently distributed through The Chapel Store in Costa Mesa, Sonshine Christian Stores in El Toro, The Main Place Bookstore in Tustin, as well as bookstores in VA and CO. The Narrow Way Prison Ministries distributes thousands of True-Way Tracts to jails and prisons in the U.S. and in the Philippines. One of the Spanish Calvary Chapel Affiliates is translating the True-Way Tracts and distributing them. Street witnessing groups have distributed thousands of these tracts in Orange County. In July 2007, hundreds of the TWT briefs were sold in the Campus Crusade for Christ conference bookstore in CO.
